Walk with Me

Zen Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, Martin Luther King, Jr.’s pick for the Nobel Peace Prize, is widely acknowledged for introducing mindfulness to the western world, as well as for his human rights work and his many publications. Join narrator Benedict Cumberbatch on a rare cinematic journey into Thich Nhat Hanh’s Plum Village retreat in rural France. Filmed over three years with unprecedented access, this immersive film is a meditation on a community of people who have given up their possessions to lead a monastic life, one that’s filled with deep meaning, hard work, music, humor, travel, and a unending focus on the present moment. Honest and heartwarming, Walk With Me touches on the universal themes of belonging, love, loss, hope, and death, which are relevant not just for Thich Nhat Hanh’s monks and nuns, but for us all.
