Victor LaGamma Trio

On Friday, February 27^th the main dining room will feature the Victor La Gamma Trio with pianist/composer Victor La Gamma, bassist Dylan La Gamma and vibraphonist Eric Katz performing a mix of original compositions and newly arranged standards from the American song book. Victor La Gamma has been performing in the New York and Westchester areas for the last 35 years. His recent CD release, ‘Bits and Pieces’, incorporates many styles of jazz composition and performance and includes his son, bassist Dylan La Gamma, who is a jazz ensemble director at Fordham Prep. Dylan is also currently working towards an M.A. in Jazz History and Research at Rutgers University and plays with a variety of ensembles in the area including the Jazz/Hip Hop band Milkbread, based in Rhode Island where Dylan obtained his undergraduate degree. The third member of the trio is Eric Katz, a music teacher in the Pelham Schools and a graduate of Manhattan School of Music. His melodic doublings on vibes with the piano suggest the bygone days of the George Shearing Quintet. No cover charge but tables are reserved for diners and there is a two-drink minimum at the bar.
