Vento Trio Chamber Music Concert

Vento Trio plays contemporary and dance-inspired music of the Americas that intersects jazz and classical traditions. Committed to promoting little known works of Brazil, they also premeired Janet Grice’s Hudson Views, inspired by the Hudson River in Westchester County, and Lake Tear of the Clouds, based on the source of the Hudson. Recently they toured the Adirondacks and lower Hudson Valley. Formed in 2004 at Rutgers University, Vento Trio released 2 CDs, performed at Chamber Music America, Brazil, France, International Double Reed Society conferences, and throughout NY and NJ.

On Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Philipse Manor Hall, Vento Trio presents Winds of Change – The woodwind trio of flute, clarinet and bassoon, will be joined by percussion for a lively concert of music from the Americas. A special segment will be dedicated to Easter music. Vento Trio’s concert tells a story of human struggle, loss and transformation.
