Two Medici Women

The Medici women managed to carry out political activity on behalf of the family through the networks they created not only within Florence, but beyond in Rome, and even further afield, through their familial ties to Popes Leo X and Clement VII. This presentation will cover the accomplishments of two powerful women, Caterina, who became the Queen of France over unbelievable hardships, and the last Medici woman, Anna Maria Luisa, and her gift to Florence. Must register in advance and prepay. Members $20, Non-Members $25
