There is a Magic Made by Melody

“There is a magic made by melody”, soprano and composer Alla Borzova, mezzo-soprano Anna Tonna, and pianist Sofya Melikyan will perform a concert of classical and contemporary songs, duets, and opera that highlights music by historical and contemporary women composers: Camilla de Rossi, Isabella Colbran, Beth Anderson Harold, Alla Borzova, Juliana Hall, Lisa A. Hogan, Julie Mandel, Nataliya Medvedovskaya, Nailah Nombeko and Hilary Tann. Included are also classical and contemporary songs, operatic duets and arias by Handel, Mozart, Bizet and Alexander Dmitriev. The concert will take place on December 20, 2014, Saturday, at 7pm at the historic St. Joseph of Arimathea Episcopal Church in White Plains. There will be a talk with the artists and composers after the concert, followed by a reception. Tickets are $20/15 (seniors and students).
