The Origins and Mythology of the Constellations: Winter (Virtual)

There are 88 official constellations, and each constellation has a story—in some cases many stories—behind it. Science educator Vivian Crea, a student of classical languages and mythology, will discuss the complex histories of the winter constellations. We’ll hear the tale of mighty Orion, and the legends around the Dog Star, the Seven Sisters, and the stars of the Zodiac.

Recommended for ages 8+; 45-minute online sky tour and lecture plus Q&A.
