Taghkanic Chorale to Perform Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle
The Taghkanic Chorale with four professional soloists under the direction of Steven Fox will perform Gioachino Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle. The composer described it as “the last of my sins of old age.” The piece will be presented with piano and harmonium accompaniment as it was originally scored.
Performances are Saturday, December 9th at 8:00 pm at Valhalla United Methodist Church, 200 Columbus Ave, Valhalla and Sunday, December 10th at 4:00 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church Ossining, 7 South Highland Avenue (Route 9), Ossining . Concertgoers are invited to join Chorale members and Mr. Fox for a reception after each performance.

The Taghkanic Chorale is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization. Singers and audience members come from Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange and the mid-Hudson Valley. The group rehearses Tuesday evenings and performs Spring and Winter Holiday concerts.
