Sunday Stories: A Civil War Series

See the past come to life with performances by expert storytellers Vienna Carroll and Keith Johnston. This performance focuses on Harriet Tubman. Performances at 1 & 3 pm. 30 minutes. This series uses the artwork of Red Grooms and the history of Westchester as catalysts for these stories explore the contributions of African-Americans during the Civil War. Stories are based on the 19^th century African American community in Westchester, known as “The Hills.” Vienna and Keith will use music, drama, and facilitated discussion to provide a rich cultural exchange.
