Sarah Lawrence College Health Advocacy Program Presents David Billings- Deep Denial: The Persistence of White Supremacy in United States History and Life.

David Billings, who will read from and discuss his book, Deep Denial, with a book signing and reception to follow. Mr. Billings is a “white man who has spent half a century working for racial justice, was born in McComb, Mississippi—the site of some of the fiercest struggles of the Civil Rights Movement—and later grew up in Helena, Arkansas. Billings’ book, Deep Denial, explains why race is still with us, and what the Civil Rights Movement can tell us about today.
