Reading with David Hollander and Thomas Lux


Sarah Lawrence College announces the line-up for free nightly readings by literary luminaries open to the public June 21- June 26. The readings, which pair a poet and a prose writer, are part of the College’s Summer Seminar for Writers, a week-long creative writing intensive, founded in 1993 by poets Jane Cooper and Thomas Lux. They will take place on the College’s campus: 1 Mead Way, Bronxville/Yonkers, NY 10708 at 7:30 p.m. in the Donnelley Theatre of the Heimbold Visual Arts Center. This is a reading with David Hollander and Thomas Lux.

David Hollander is the author of the novel L.I.E. His short fiction and nonfiction have appeared in dozens of print and online forums, including McSweeney’s, Agni, Post Road, The New York Times Magazine, Poets & Writers, Unsaid, and The Collagist. His work has been adapted for film and frequently anthologized, notably in Best American Fantasy. He lives in the Hudson Valley with his wife and two children and teaches writing full time at Sarah Lawrence College.

Thomas Lux is the author of Selected Poems 1982-2012 (Bloodaxe Books, 2014). He teaches at The Georgia Institute of Technology, where he is the Bourne Professor of Poetry. He has a new book coming out in 2016 from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, To The Left of Time. He is editing Bill Knott’s Selected Poetry for Farrar Straus & Giroux, also coming out in 2016.
