Reading of the Play Booth & Ray, Written by Walker Trimble ’97

Booth & Ray concerns John Wilkes Booth and his journey towards Lincoln’s assassination, paralleled with James Earl Ray and his journey towards the King assassination. Ultimately, the two characters share the same space and interact. It’s a highly poetic drama, and the language, political and philosophical ideas and imagery of the piece are incredibly relevant and timely.

Current students and recent graduates of the Sarah Lawrence College Theatre program present a dramatic reading of the play. The playwright, Walker Trimble ’97, is visiting from Russia and will be in attendance. The reading is directed by Myra M. McPhee MFA ’19, and Sifiso Mabena MFA ’18 is the assistant director.

This event is free to attend and open to the public. For more event details and updates, visit www.sarahlawrence.edu/news-events/
