Play Italian Opera Overtures with New Westchester Symphony Reading Orchestra
New Westchester Symphony Reading Orchestra (NewWSRO)
A new opportunity to play classical music is here. The purpose of NewWSRO is to give musicians of all ages and abilities a chance to play great orchestral pieces without the pressure of weekly rehearsals or performances.
NewWSRO is NOT a performing ensemble. NewWSRO does not give concerts. It is simply a gathering of musicians who wish to play music together. NewWSRO meets monthly on Saturday or Sunday in White Plains. No section limits – even if you are on the waiting list for NewWSO, you can participate in NewWSRO.
There is a per-session fee of $20 ($10 students/seniors) to participate, to cover venue rental and administrative costs.
Register for our next NewWSRO session on Saturday, April 11Â HERE. We will read through Rossini’s Barber of Seville and William Tell Overtures, and Bellini’s Norma Overture.
Future sessions are currently scheduled for May 16 and June 20.
Visit http://newsymphony.org/readingorchestra.html or email info@newsymphony.org for more information about either ensemble.
