Paul Muldoon – Live Reading & Reception

The Katonah Poetry Series continues its Fiftieth Anniversary Season with a reading by Paul Muldoon, winner of the 2002 Pulitzer Prize, and poetry editor for the New Yorker magazine since 2007. One of the most celebrated and widely-honored poets in contemporary literature, Muldoon has, in addition to the Pulitzer, won the T.S. Eliot Prize, the Griffin Poetry Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Irish Times Poetry Prize, the American Academy of Arts and Letters Award, and numerous others.
A native of Northern Ireland, Muldoon attended Queen’s University in Belfast, where he studied with Seamus Heaney. He published his first collection, Fair Weather, at the age of 21. He has since published thirty books of poetry, and has been translated into twenty languages. As Professor of Poetry at Oxford, Muldoon produced a series of lectures that have been published as The End of The Poem, which the London Review called “one of the most thrilling books of literary criticism published in the last fifty years.”
The reading will be followed by audience Q & A, as well as a reception and book signing.
