The Ossining Arts Council Open Studio Tours

OAC PLANS OPEN STUDIOS TOUR OCT. 14

OSSINING — If you’ve ever looked at a work of art and wondered how the artist created it, you’ll really enjoy the Ossining Arts Council’s (OAC) Open Studios self-guided tour on Saturday, October 14th.

On that date more than 20 local artists will open the doors to their inner sanctums, aka studios, from 11 am to 4 pm, allowing visitors the rare opportunity to witness the artistic process firsthand, ask questions and purchase artworks directly from artists.

“The Ossining area is fortunate to be home to many artists working in a wide variety of mediums,” said OAC President Mark Sarazen.  “We’re excited to sponsor an event that allows art lovers to see what takes place behind the scenes.”

The tour will feature painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramicists, digital artists and others.

Tickets and maps will be available at the Ossining Farmers Market on Saturdays Sept. 30, Oct 7 and 14, 9:30 am to 1 pm and also at First Village Coffee at 123 Main Street, Ossining

There will be a suggested donation of $5 to support the OAC.
