Nilson Matta’s Brazilian Voyage

Born in Brazil, Nilson Matta grew up with Latin roots in his blood and at an early age was even recognized as one of the most impressive bassists in Brazil. His natural talent has given him the honor of being part of a Grammy winning album with Joe Henderson, and the opportunity to perform and record with Yo Yo Ma, with whom he won two Grammy’s as well. Matta’s Brazilian Voyage features original jazz compositions with a Brazilian flavor, creating a unique and culturally creative brand of music.
