New Rochelle Jazz Festival

New Rochelle’s Jazz Festival, held each July, links New Rochelle to its sister city of La Rochelle, France, which holds a “Jazz in August” music festival every year. This year the New Rochelle Jazz Festival kick off on Thursday and Friday evening with groups playing from 8 to 11 PM at two downtown hot spots, Jolo’s and  Alvin and Friends. ($10 cover charge) Then on  Saturday and Sunday, groups will perform from 1 pm – 9:30 pm in Ruby Dee Park at Library Green. Admission is free.

The New Rochelle Jazz Festival is organized by Brian Carter and presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts; it is a program of the New Rochelle Sister City Initiative, co-sponsored by the New Rochelle BID and the City of New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department.
