See below for course details.

Part 1: finding the story in the environment
The Advanced Digital Photography course will get started with a review of exposure and camera control, followed by shooting assignments with a concentration on finding the story in the chosen environment, be it landscape, street, or event photography. In-the-field shoots will be planned. We will review post-processing in Lightroom, and learn new tools for masking and making adjustment selections based on tone and color. Photo critiques will occur throughout the semester, with an eye on creating an advanced portfolio. This class will be remote and TBD in-person.
CE-DGART 2126PE, $550.

14 Thurs., Sept. 8-Dec. 15 (skip 11/24), 6:30-9:30 pm.

Part 2: focus on lighting
Advanced Digital Photography continues with an initial concentration on lighting, both natural and artificial, where students can choose to focus on portrait or small object photography, including in-person shoots with a live model. We will then learn new tools and procedures using Photoshop for advanced retouching, including selection tools and layer masks. Students will prepare select images for printing. Best work will be chosen for the Spring 2024 Student Art Exhibit, as well as an advanced personal portfolio. This class will be remote and TBD in-person.
CE-DGART 2127PE, $550.

14 Thurs., Jan. 26-Apr. 27, 2023, 6:30-9:30 pm.
