NEU To Do for Kids: Create Ekphrastic Poetry

In this week’s NEU To Do for Kids project, students will develop ekphrastic poetry that describes an object of art from the Neuberger’s collection in vivid detail.

The word “ekphrasis” comes from the Greek word for description. Ekphrastic Poetry provides insight into what the viewer sees happening in a drawing, painting and/or sculpture.

NOTE:  This week’s project is best for ages 10+.
