Motown Night with Jazmyn

On Friday, February 5th join us for Motown Night – a dance party in Roscoe’s Room featuring Jazmyn. Keyboard master James Farley and Vocalist Inez Wilson put new life into jazz, rock, r & b and funk favorites; the focus tonight will be Motown hits. Two shows: 7 and 9 pm; $15 at the door. Jazmyn has shared the stage with some of music’s biggest and brightest stars, from Joe Williams and Nancy Wilson to Marion Meadows, Peabo Bryson and Stevie Wonder. Jazmyn has performed all over the world making stops in Japan, Hong Kong, mainland China, Sweden, Holland, Israel, all of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Bermuda, Mexico and all throughout the United States. They performed for nine years in Vegas where they called Mandalay Bay their home while performing at Caesars Palace, the MGM Grand, Luxor, Excalibur, the Orleans and other Vegas properties. Jazmyn is at home with all genres of music, from jazz and funk to r & B, gospel and ballads. At the heart of this outstanding group is the keyboard wizardry of Jim Farley and the soulful vocals of Inez Wilson. Jim is the founder, keyboardist and music director of “JAZMYN”. He has worked as music director for the Apollo Theatre and Summer Series accompanist at Lincoln Center; he has also shared stages all around the country — and the world — with artists such as Nancy Wilson, Gerald Albright, Marion Meadows, Blue Magic, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, Peabo Bryson, Vesta, Glenn Jones, McCoy Tyner, Ruth Brown, Joe Williams, Stanley Turrentine and Stevie Wonder. Inez began singing at an early age at the Olivet Baptist Church in Compton, California. She toured with the gospel play “A Good Man Is Hard To Find” — sharing the stage with D’atra Hicks —  throughout the U.S., then made New York her new home. Inez began to perform in the Village at venues such as The Bitter End, Terra Blues, CBGBs and Groove.  She also got involved singing background vocals for various recording artists such as Jon-B, Alyson Williams and Glenn Jones.
