Masterworks Conversations Concert: Vienna!

What a city for music, and what music comes from the city of Vienna!  For the old masters Mozart and Beethoven, Vienna was the place to be.  Its roots run deep in the fabric of European culture, and even Chopin and Ravel paid their musical dues to this city.  Great battles and sieges have taken place at its gates, events that left their musical mark with works like Mozart’s Rondo alla turca, while composers like Beethoven created new worlds of sound in this city with compositions like the famous “Moonlight” sonata.  Later the delightful Waltz came to invade Vienna, and our program will send you off with the Gypsy music Brahms adored while sipping his coffee in the city he called home for three decades.  Join pianists Vlada Yaneva and Matthew Harrison on this splendid musical journey to Vienna! Ossie Davis Theater. Suggested donation: $2.00. Made possible by the Lillian Robbins-Rick Englander Memorial Fund.
