The Irvington Town Hall Theater is proud to be a part of Manhattan Short 2014 and to kick off our 6th season of our Best of Film Series!

From Friday, September 26th, through Sunday, October 5th, 2014, over 100,000 people will gather in over 250 cinemas and universities spanning Six Continents–North and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa–for one purpose–to view and vote on the Ten Short Films (18 minutes & under), which are Finalists in the Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival.

MANHATTAN SHORT is not just one of the largest short film festivals in the world, it is the world’s first global film festival, and this is an invitation for you to become an important part of this event.

Audiences from around the world are given the opportunity to unite with other audiences not only to view these films, but to vote on them as well. With past Finalists from this Festival going on to be nominated and win Oscars in the short film category, MANHATTAN SHORT is, quite simply, a collection of some of the best short films currently screening in the world today.

How does the voting work?  Upon purchase of a ticket each attendee is handed a voting card and asked to vote for the ONE film they feel should win. Completed voting cards are handed in to each cinema representative after the last film has screened. Votes are tallied by each cinema and emailed to MANHATTAN SHORT headquarters where the winner is announced at 9:15 p.m. (EST) on Sunday, October 5th, in NYC and posted on the Festival’s website.www.manhattanshort.com
