LIVE @ THE STEAMER! featuring the Forget-Me-Nots and Special Guest David Ray

OSSINING – The Ossining Arts Council (OAC) is pleased to present two area favorites, The Forget-Me-Nots and David Ray, in concert on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 8 to 10PM.  The event will be held at the Steamer Gallery, 117 Main Street, Ossining, NY.  Tickets are $15 and are available for sale at www.ossiningartscouncil.org and at the door. Proceeds from the concert will support OAC’s growing calendar of visual, film, and performing arts programming and community engagement.

The evening’s two sets will showcase a musical alliance between The Forget-Me-Nots and a favorite musical pal, David Ray.  Featuring bright, lush, hand-made harmony and acoustic instruments, The Forget-Me-Nots’ distinctive voices explore Linda Ronstadt, Motown, traditional folk, the Beatles, and hits from the 70s to today.  Varied original songs look at pivotal life moments, connections, changing circumstances, family, and serendipity.  A regular presence at Westchester community events and open mics, these three accomplished singer/performers blend their talents together to make music that celebrates life’s joys, determination and hope.

The Forget-Me-Nots will be joined by former New York City cab driver, bouncer, and actor, David Ray, whose deep well of “cinematic” songs incorporate both the blues and singer/songwriter tradition. David’s works have been sung by artists as varied as Grammy-winner Shawn Colvin and Dove Award winner Kathy Troccoli, and he’s shared the stage with Ossining’s own KJ Denhert, along with Roger McGuinn, Lucy Kaplanski, Marshall Crenshaw, Joan Osborne, Cliff Eberhardt, Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks, and many more.
