Hudson Chorale Benefit, Rhapsody in Blue, Featuring Works of Gershwin, Songs of Edith Piaf, and More

Soprano Jennifer Marshall and pianist David Baranowski will be teaming up to present an afternoon of music, Rhapsody in Blue, to benefit Hudson Chorale, the area’s largest chorus.  The program will include the music of George Gershwin, songs of Edith Piaf, and more, and will take place on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at 3:00 pm at the Church of St. Barnabas, 15 North Broadway, Irvington, NY.  Guests will have a musically marvelous time followed by wine, hors d’oeuvres and delectable sweets.  This fundraising event will benefit the Chorale’s orchestra fund that is used to hire professional orchestra members for future concerts.

Jennifer Marshall is a multi-faceted singer with a varied musical career.  Her repertoire spans the worlds of opera, concert performances, and even pop.  Recent collaborations with Hudson Chorale include soprano soloist in the Fauré Requiem (January 2019) and singing the role of Bess in a tribute to Gershwin’s opera, Porgy and Bess (June 2018).  Hudson Chorale accompanist and Assistant Music Director, David Baranowski, will provide the piano accompaniment for Ms. Marshall as well as thrill guests with solo works in a variety of genres.  Baranowski is a highly versatile and gifted keyboard artist, performing with equal virtuosity on piano, electronic keyboard, organ, and harpsichord, with repertoire ranging from Bach to Deep Purple.
