The New Choral Society presents Handel’s “Messiah” and Durante’s “Magnificat”


The season opens for the New Choral Society on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 8 PM when the chorus, under the direction of Dr. John T. King, presents Handel’s “Messiah” (Part I) and Durante’s “Magnificat.” The chorus will be accompanied by its professional orchestra and will feature soloists from the Metropolitan Opera stage. The concert will be repeated on Sunday, December 3 at 3 PM.

Now in its 24th year, the award-winning chorus of auditioned singers brings the best in classical choral music to audiences in Westchester. Concerts are presented at Hitchcock Presbyterian Church, 6 Greenacres Avenue, Scarsdale, NY in the acoustically pristine sanctuary, offering the chance to hear great masterworks in an intimate setting.
