GERSHWIN & FRIENDS – CONCERT

Gershwin & Friends brings together song, chamber and jazz works celebrating the music and influences of American composer, George Gershwin.

She made her Broadway debut in The Color Purple.

Concert work includes the New York Pops, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Lincoln Center Theater, Philadelphia Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, Caramoor Music Festival, the Delacorte Theatre, and the PBS Special from the Smith Center.

Glover has served as a member of the Artists’ Committee for the Kennedy Center Honors and is a New York PopsEd Ambassador.

Is it the hum of the audience in the lobby, the quiet hush that happens as the lights dim or that anticipation of the extraordinary sounds that we are about to hear? Or is it the moment the music finishes and we have just heard, connected with and experienced music that moves and dazzles us? Then, the audience applause erupts as a community drawn together by the performance. This is “live” chamber music in the HEART of our community.Join us for the Hoch Series season and experience the magic at Concordia in the Sommer Center.
