Fiddling in February: Book Launch, Concert and Square Dancing


ArtsWestchester’s Folk Arts program, in association with Hilltop Hanover Farm Old Time Jam, presents…

FIDDLING IN FEBRUARY:
BOOK LAUNCH, CONCERT AND SQUARE DANCING

Join fiddle master, and old-time music session leader, Harry Bolick for the launch of his new book, Mississippi Fiddle Tunes and Songs from the 30s, followed by live music and dancing. Bolick will speak about his decade-long research project and perform rare tune selections.  The evening will continue with the vibrant and welcoming sounds of traditional southern square dancing music for novice and experienced dancers alike.  Beginner to advanced dancers welcome.  Partners not necessary.

 With Brian Slattery (banjo/fiddle) Jim Garber (guitar),  and dance caller Liz Slade.
