Description

The Steffi Nossen School of Dance is excited to be back in the studio both in the Music Conservatory of Westchester Building in White Plains and at ST. Mary the Virgin Church in Chappaqua; we can’t wait to see you dancing again. A FREE WEEK OF DANCE Sept. 27-October 2nd is a great way to meet us and our experience our classes.  The school’s faculty of dance education professionals will share their joy of dance along with its inherent discipline; we train both pre-professionals and recreational dancers with equal encouragement and enthusiasm. Most classes have live music accompaniment. A needs-based sliding-scale financial aid program helps to make classes possible to all interested and committed students.

Learn about the many choices offered.

Dancing Tots is a fun-filled opportunity for youngest dancers to express themselves through movement: developing balance, coordination, and motor skills and opening their imaginations through creative movement and musical games. Pre-schoolers choose Creative Movement or Tap-Ballet Combo – an introduction to the vocabulary and positions of Ballet and the rhythms and steps of Tap. Core and Pre-professional Technique Programs in Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Hip-Hop offer educationally sound, sequential curricula fostering both technical growth and creative exploration.  Try the new Musical Theater Kids giving first – third graders the basics.

In Moving Wheels and Heels, an adaptive class, dancers of all abilities enjoy creative expression while increasing kinesthetic intelligence, building motor skills, and engaging in activities promoting positive social interactions. Through the discipline and joy of dance in a nurturing environment, students build confidence and poise, develop grace and fitness, and experience the creative process.

Join Parkinson’s Dance a dynamic and fun hour of dance and artistic exploration. No dance experience is necessary; stand up or sit down. Bring a friend and meet new people in this FREE movement class with a Mark Morris Dance for PD-trained instructor.
