Emily Angell at New Ro Parc

The New Rochelle Council on the Arts (NRCA) presents its annual summer concert series at a new spot, New Ro Parc (455 Main Street between North Avenue and LeCount Place) every Friday night in July and August at 7:30 pm. On Friday, July 29th don’t miss alt rocker Emily Angell. Described as “a bit folk, a bit roots, a bit electro-pop,” singer/songwriter Emily Angell has been compared to Jewel and Alanis Morissette. Her latest album, Built for This, combines electronic pop, modern R & B and emotionally charged themes of empowerment with melodies that are easily singable.

The Wing Kings food truck will be on site selling snacks and beverages.

In case of inclement weather please telephone the Dept. of Parks and Recreation at 654-2087 or check the @NewRoParks social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. Citizens can sign up to receive text updates about the weather by texting the word “Add” to (914) 465-7297.

The Summer Sounds concert series is presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, in partnership with the New Rochelle Dept. of Parks and Recreation, and co-sponsored by Webster Bank, and LMXD (the mixed-income development affiliate of L+M Development Partners) and Wilder Balter Partners.
