Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series: Glenda Davenport

Jazz vocalist Glenda Davenport will perform at this week’s Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds concert at the beautiful Hudson Park Bandshell.

Mount Vernon native Glenda Davenport, discovered at the World Famous Apollo Theater’s Amateur Night, is known as a mature, skillful singer with depth, emotion and swing, performing jazz favorites and standards with her quartet.

The Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series is presented each summer by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, in partnership with the New Rochelle Dept. of Parks and Recreation, and is co-sponsored by Webster Bank and People’s United Bank.

The Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series features an eclectic menu of musical groups each year, from mellow jazz to rock and roll, rhythm and blues, country and western and even classical opera. The full schedule is available on line at www.newrochellearts.org.
