Downtown Music at Grace Presents: Tom Chapin with Michael Mark

With 26 recordings and hundreds of songs in his repertoire, Tom Chapin serves up a seasoned mix for intergenerational audiences of all tastes: story songs, ballads, political and satirical songs, family music, sing-alongs, folk classics, and one or two favorites by his late brother Harry. Tom accompanies himself on guitar, banjo, and autoharp, and is joined by longtime collaborator, Michael Mark, who plays concertina and bass.  This program is curated by celebrated radio personality and music critic Bob Sherman, host of the beloved “Woody’s Children” radio show.  Bob will introduce Tom and Michael and lead a brief Q and A session with the performers and audience after the concert.

This concert is made possible, in part, with a generous gift from Hannah and John Nelson.
