Diving Deep: Explorations in Memoir (via Zoom)

Imagine a duck gliding across a lake, following the currents, nibbling at specks on the surface. Suddenly, it dives down, disappearing from view, and resurfaces minutes later to resume its journey. Join me and fellow writers in diving deep to explore the essential themes of your life’s stories. We will harness elements of craft—sensory details, compelling language, evocative imagery, scene, dialogue, inner voice—to create, share, and discuss resonant, personal, powerful writing. At-home writing will be shared and discussed, along with occasional in-class exercises, and writing prompts and handouts will provide inspiration.

This class will be taught on six Tuesday afternoons, from 1- 3:30 pm EST on Feb 1, 8, 15, 22, March 1, 8. Class is capped at 9 students and will be taught via Zoom. The link will be sent at the time of registration and again in the day before class. Please write to admin@writerscenter.org with any questions.
Registration is $370 at:
