Deconstructing Sgt. Pepper

TWO EVENTS ON JULY 15: 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm

Rolling Stone described The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band as “the most important rock & roll album ever made, an unsurpassed adventure in concept, sound, songwriting, cover art and studio technology by the greatest rock & roll group of all time.” In this lively program, Beatles expert Scott Freiman looks at this landmark record from multiple angles, exploring the history behind the music. Using rare and unreleased recordings, he walks the audience through the Beatles’ innovative song construction, from Take One to the final version. You are guaranteed to leave with a newfound appreciation for the writing of Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison and even the drumming of Ringo Starr!

A MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION by Scott Freiman, a composer/ musician/producer and member of New York’s prestigious Manhattan Producers Alliance.
