Danger & Daring II: A Lyric Essay Class with Tyler Mills (via Zoom)

Category:

Saturday, April 9, 2022
12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Description

In this two-hour workshop, you will brainstorm, write, and receive verbal feedback on a brand-new lyric essay in the spirit of danger. How can a single sentence become an essay? How can we draw from the pulse of poetry to write nonfiction narrative? And in what ways can the lyric essay as a genre allow us to fling back the curtain from what haunts a scene and approach it face-on? This generative session is open to essayists and poets of all levels. Poets who took this class with Tyler Mills at HVWC in the fall are particularly encouraged to return again.

This class will be taught on Zoom. Class is capped at 15 students. You will receive the link as soon as you register for class and in a reminder email the day before class. It will be sent to the email address you use to register. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive it within five minutes and email [email protected] with any questions. Registration is $124 at:
