Concert: Celebrating John Musto

Music from Copland House showcases the versatile, multiple Emmy Award-winning composer John Musto, whose eclectic style embraces the rigor of the conservatory, the flair and freedom of the jazz club, and the lyricism and drama of the stage. Highlighting the program is the World Premiere of Musto’s new Sonata for Cello and Piano, commissioned by Copland House and composed especially for this concert. The concert also features his stylish, Trio for Violin, Cello, and Piano, and two works for two pianos, the Passacaglia and an arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach’s great Organ Prelude and Fugue in E-Flat Manor (“St. Anne”), performed by Musto and acclaimed pianist Michael Boriskin.
