Closure: Revising The End, a Prose Workshop with Kofi Antwi (via Zoom)


Closure: Revising The End Is a generate workshop where writers explore literary techniques to revise one’s writing. The workshop will serve as a space for writers to develop their prose writing. Closure: Revising The End offers feedback to the generated writing crafted in the workshop. The workshop will explore revision throughout the class. Writers will use the supplied course texts as resources when observing the distinct patterns and methods implored in their prose writing.

The prompts offered by the workshop facilitator will serve as entry into the writer’s written work created in the workshop. Additionally, the workshop will offer an analysis of the in-workshop readings literary components, and feedback to writer’s work created from the workshop.

Kofi Antwi is an African American poet, English professor, and graduate of St. Joseph’s College MFA Creative Writing program. He was born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island by parents of Ghanaian descent. Kofi’s poetry has been published by Great Weather For Media, Agbowo, No, Dear, A Gathering Together, Luna, Rise Up, Gumbo Media, Kalahari Review, Breadcrumbs, AADUNA, NYSAI, Ninalem, and Rigorous. Kofi’s poetry chapbook Tidal Wave was published by Kattywompus Press.
