Climbing The Walls

CLIMBING THE WALLS

Climbing the Walls is coming – a project that asked for artists across the genres to contribute, visual art, music, monologues, and poetry that explore the ways we are experiencing life now and how we imagine the future.

Our goal was to interweave the works, creating a collaborative, on-line, devised performance piece. Starting June 13, the work will be seen on the websites of both organizations.

The contributions we’ve received for Climbing the Walls are very exciting and evocative, dealing with the personal and social tensions we face and will be facing at this time of paradigm change. We will start rolling out the creations beginning June 13, 2020.

Climbing the Walls was conceived from a desire to create in a time of disorientation and disconnection. When we first conceived of the project, it was a way to connect and explore a shift in the moment. As more and more people decided to participate, across all genres, we realized how lucky we were to be in an artistic community that came together and contributed.

Participants range from teen to seniors, different in belief, race, talent, sexual orientation, idea, content, education – you know, the spectrum of our communities. The one commonality was a desire to communicate.

We will present 2-3 works per week, so visit again to see the new work on:
