The Photography of
Alan Model
– An Exhibition –
On view: Dec. 1 – 10

Reception: Sat., December 3, 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Curated by: Patrick Cicalo and Rita Baunok

The Rye Arts Center, in collaboration with The Ground Glass Photography Group, is pleased to present a retrospective of the life’s work of photographer Alan Model, a resident of Larchmont and Rye, NY for many years.

Alan, a long time member and benefactor of The Rye Arts Center and past president & charter member of The Ground Glass Photography Group, sadly passed away in December of 2021. Alan was an early adapter and accomplished practitioner of the “Decisive Moment” style & philosophy of photography attributed to and made popular by French street photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, perhaps one of Alan’s greatest inspirations. This exhibit, curated by Patrick J. Cicalo and Rita Baunok is just a small collection of images Alan created over nearly 5 decades in the photographic arts.

A reception will be held on Saturday December 3, 2022 from 2-4PM at the Rye Arts Center
