Axial Theatre’s Annual Fundraising Party

Axial Theatre Fundraiser April 16 Sings Sondheim, Stages Live Auction, and Announces Acting Scholarship

Westchester, N.Y. — Axial Theatre’s annual spring fundraiser is coming to ArtsWestchester in White Plains for a tuneful evening on Saturday, April 16, from 7-10 p.m.

The professional theater company and acting conservatory, which operates out of Pleasantville (N.Y.), will showcase selections from Stephen Sondheim’s Tony-winning Broadway musical Company; serve gourmet bites and libations; and stage a live auction featuring one-week getaways in private homes in sunny Sarasota, Florida, and Cinque Terre on the Mediterranean coastline of the Italian Riviera.

The evening will include a touching tribute to announce the Lori Sachare Memorial Acting Scholarship, honoring a talented actor and treasured friend of the Axial/HMA family.

The musical selections of the Tony award-winning Company will be sung by Axial Company members Aisling Mulhern, Duane Rutter and Susan Ward; and Jean Garner, Marilyn Collazo, and Brenda Hettmansberger of Howard Meyer’s Acting (HMA) program. They will be accompanied on piano by Dan Forman, also of HMA. There will be a cornucopia of gourmet bites, both savory and sweet, wine, beer and other beverages.

The live auction will be led by Bruce “The Blog” Apar, Westchester media personality and Axial board member, who is enrolled in Howard Meyer’s Acting (HMA) program.

Tickets for the benefit are $40 and include all food and beverages. ArtsWestchester is located at 31 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. For ticket information, visit Axial Theatre’s Facebook page or website at AxialTheatre.org; or contact Axial at AxialTheatre@gmail.com.
