“Prince Among Slaves” the amazing true story of Abdul Rahman Ibrahma Sori, an African prince enslaved in the Americas.
“Forgotten Roots: African American Muslims in Early America”
Through a range of artifacts, diaries, documents and photographs this exhibition show how newly transported African Muslims played significant roles as explorers, entrepreneurs, educators and patriotic servicemen in America during the 18th & 19th centuries. It presents vignettes of figures, enslaved and free, known for their passion for freedom, pioneering spirit, and steadfast faith.
