Alex McCabe with Paul Odeh

Saxophonist Alex McCabe will perform with pianist Paul Odeh in the main dining room on Friday, August 22nd;  no cover charge, but tables in the main dining room are reserved for those ordering a meal and there is a two-drink minimum at the bar. Originally from Boston, McCabe is a saxophonist and composer who has been performing in and around New York City since the 1980s. Alexander was a featured soloist with the Ray Charles Orchestra and was an original member, and toured with, the Chico O’Farril Afro-Cuban big band. Alexander has played with George Coleman, Danny Aiello, the Pointer Sisters and Nancie Banks, among others, and has toured the UK and Europe, performing at the Edinburgh and Cork festivals, the Pori Jazz Festival, the North Sea festival, The Vienne Music Festival and others.  He has recorded extensively with a variety of artists;  his latest CD , “Bird’s 90th Birthday” was released in 2013. Many of his compositions are featured on film and in television shows: Most recently his composition “Spindrift” was heard in Breaking Bad (Season 5, episode 8) with McCabe on piano!
