Acrylic Painting with Artist Jim Williams

27124147333_5ba273b4e1_zJim Williams (BuJo) is an artist who uses life experiences to create his style of painting. His work can be seen in hospitals, schools, galleries, restaurants and many homes. He is currently volunteering his time in the Wartburg Rehab Facility in Mount Vernon, NY. On Saturdays, Jim teaches acrylic painting to children and adult at the Association of Community Based Artists of Westchester (AC-BAW) in Mount Vernon. His art represents his vision of the places his mind has explored.

This class will focus on acrylic painting. All aspects of painting are explained, including perspective, light source, color theory, how to use the brushes and the importance of details. BuJo provides hands on instruction and suggestions on ways to look at art and self-expression with acrylic paint. His workshops are participatory in nature, with direct instruction.

Please sign up at the Children’s Room desk. Workshop is limited to the first 12 people. For questions contact Nishan Stepak, nstepak@wlsmail.org.

This program is made possible by funding from ArtsWestchester.
