9th RISING STARS CONCERTS

The public is invited to bring family and friends to a concert music festival featuring a group of exceptionally talented young Asian Americans performing classical and contemporary works, from the West and the East.

The audience will get to know these young performers, ages 8 to 17, selected through an audition process ( RisingStars@oca-whv.org) on May 3rd at the Music Conservatory of Westchester by a panel of distinctive judges: Jean Newton, Executive Director, Music Conservatory of Westchester; Margaret Ziemnicka, Violin Faculty, Music Conservatory of Westchester; Robert Stattel, Crestwood Music Education Center; Judson Griffin, Music Conservatory of Westchester; and Dr. Hui-Mei Lin, Concert Pianist, Professor of Music, and Piano Teacher.

These young artists will play a variety of musical instruments; both classical instruments from the West and traditional Chinese instruments. The event promises to be entertaining and culturally enriching for all audiences.
