CONCORDIA CONSERVATORY PRESENTS
HISTORY OF THE PRESENT
AS PART OF CONCERTS AT THE OSILAS
Bronxville, NY—Concordia Conservatory presents “History of the Present: Old & New,” as part of the Concerts at the OSilas Series on Sunday, March 19 at 11:00am in the OSilas Gallery at Concordia College. The chamber lecture program will feature Evelyn Watkins, cello and Keith Kreindler, bassoon, saxophone and clarinet. The program will explore the work of up-and-coming artists juxtaposed with classical works with music by Matt Van Brink, Kapustin & Negrone.
KEITH KREINDLER performs on bassoon with numerous orchestras, chamber groups, opera companies, and contemporary music ensembles, and is a founding member of TABOR. In addition, a busy saxophonist, Keith holds the baritone chair with the French American Saxophone Quartet and his woodwind doubling has brought him to the pits of countless musicals. He is on the faculty of the Aaron Copland School of Music, Rockland Conservatory of Music, and the Concordia Conservatory. Keith holds degrees from the Mannes College of Music and the Aaron Copland School of Music; and from SUNY–Binghamton.
EVELYN WADKINS is an active performer and ardent supporter of new music. Raised in a musical family in Massachusetts, Evelyn was able to perform the works of living composers at a very young age, including a concerto written for her by Marti Epstein in 1994. A co-founder of the new music collective, TRANSIT, Evelyn has premiered many pieces by emerging composers from New York and around the world.
Tickets are $20 adults/$10 children & seniors. To purchase tickets, please call (914) 395-4507 or at concordiaconservatory.org
