Bronxville, NY – Concordia Conservatory presents its annual Music Play-a-thon for Scholarship as part of the annual fundraising activities to benefit its Scholarship Fund and Music Outreach Program on Saturday, March 18 from 9:30am-4:00 pm at the Sommer Center Schultz Chapel at Concordia College.  The Music Pay-a-thon for Scholarship is free and open to the public.

Music Play-a-thon for Scholarship features Conservatory faculty and student instrumentalists and vocalists throughout the day

Faculty and students perform in five and ten minute intervals and collect sponsors of support for their performances. All funds go directly to the Conservatory Scholarship Fund and the Outreach Program. Concordia Conservatory has been holding annual student and faculty fund- raising events since 2003.

The Music Play-a-thon for Scholarship ensures scholarship funding to our students with promising musical and visual arts talent, but an inability to afford instruction at the Conservatory. In addition to the Conservatory’s Scholarship Fund, it also offers tuition-free outreach at Project Music Achievement at Rosedale in the Bronx, the Andrus Early Learning Center, The Wartburg Daycare Programs, and area elementary, middle and high schools in communities with “challenged” budgets for the arts. The Scholarship Fund awards over 300 merit and need- based scholarships each academic year and its outreach program reaches over 2,000 students annually.

Concordia Conservatory’s mission is to inspire, instruct, and enrich lives through music by offering excellence in education and performance.
