CONCORDIA COLLEGE’S CONSERVATORY AND OSILAS ART STUDIO ANNOUNCE VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON 2020 SUMMER CAMP SESSIONS
Bronxville, NY – Concordia College’s Conservatory and OSilas Art Studio have created enriching 4-week virtual summer camp programs from June 29 through July 24, in response to current health guidelines from New York State.
Offerings from Concordia Conservatory include Chamber Music, Vocal Arts, Suzuki Strings, Musical Theatre, Rock Band, Songwriting & Composition and Visual Art. In addition, the Conservatory will for the first time offer special learners’ music and art camp sessions online for students with special needs aged 7 to 18. OSilas Art Studio campers will enjoy creating in a variety of mediums as they improve their skills in a fun and creative virtual environment.
Campers are encouraged to spend the summer exploring new levels of creativity, originality, collaboration and interest-driven learning through these inspiring programs. The online format will allow campers to bond with peers and faculty who share a passion for the creative process and speak the same language on every level.
The Conservatory is also offering an in-person 2-week summer camp session from July 27 through August 7, with proper social distancing. As NY State guidelines are updated, this program will be adjusted accordingly and if necessary, moved to an online format.
In addition, private instruction in all instruments and voice will continue to be available via online lessons through August 7. Private and semi-private online art lessons can be arranged through August 7 by contacting OSilas Art Studio Program Director Lisa Rao at lisa.rao@concordia-ny.edu.
New Conservatory students and families should schedule a Zoom interview with Executive Director Kathleen Suss until in-person interviews are allowed.
