Bank of America Supports ArtsWestchester with $15,000 Workplace Development Grant

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (November 10, 2016) – Representatives from Bank of America recently met with ArtsWestchester interns and staff to announce a $15K workforce development grant to support job readiness for teens.

The grant will support ArtsWestchester’s internship program which prepares youngsters for future jobs in  arts management, arts in education, marketing, editorial work, graphic design, development and special events, program and gallery management. By working with staff in various ArtsWestchester departments, young trainees are developing job skills and building resumes that will help them access future employment opportunities.

Janet T. Langsam, CEO of ArtsWestchester, explained, “These interns will work directly with department managers and have opportunities for portfolio development as well as project management experience. The Workforce Development grant from Bank of America is an example of the arts and business partnerships that allowed ArtsWestchester to work with and inspire future business leaders and the creative thinkers of tomorrow.”
