ArtsWestchester believes that artists are often keen observers of time and place; they create artworks that respond to the challenges and triumphs of the moment, illuminate complex issues and inspire dialog around current local and global events.

The reception will include a series of readings by local poets including Westchester County Poet Laureate Phylisha Villanueva, previous Laureate Barbara Fischer, Yonkers Poet Laureate Golda Solomon, and Youth Poet Laureates Harmony Hopwood, Alexa Murphy, and Asa Miller.
