Applications for the 2019-2020 Mount Vernon Arts Initiative grant cycle are now available.
Application Deadline: Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 11:59pm
The Mount Vernon Arts Initiative is designed to help individual artists based in Westchester County and Mount Vernon-based nonprofit cultural organizations enhance the services they provide to Mount Vernon residents. These funds, which ArtsWestchester will distribute through a competitive process, are over and above the funding your organization received from us in Basic Program Support, Project Support or Arts Alive categories.
Organizations may apply for up to two open to the public project-specific activities that will take place in Mount Vernon. Organizations may request between $1,000 – $5,000. If you are applying for more than one grant, organizations may request up to $5,000 per application.
Individual Artists may apply for one grant for the creation of a new Mount Vernon-based work of art or a community-engagement project that will take place in Mount Vernon. Artists may request between $1,000 – $2,500. Please note: Artists must live in Westchester County, or own/rent space in Westchester County at the time of the application and for the duration of the planned project.
