The Mamaroneck Artists Guild is pleased to announce the 13th Annual Open Juried Small Works Exhibition for 2017. We are pleased to announce our juror is Charles Ray. Charles served as Director of the Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan, Connecticut for many years and remains a Silvermine Guild of Artists member. An accomplished oil painter, he has had numerous one-person, group, and museum shows and has been the recipient of many corporate and private commissions. Charles studied at the University of Hartford and Yale University. He has taught painting both publicly and privately, including at the Famous Artists School in Westport, Connecticut, and has worked as the Cultural Affairs Coordinator for the city of Bridgeport, where he managed projects jointly with the Connecticut Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Open to all artists 18 years and older, the exhibition will include work in any media, 2D or 3D completed since January 2014. Artists may submit a maximum of 5 entries. Size of all work may not exceed 15” in any direction (For 2D work that includes frame.) All 2D work must be suitably framed, wired and ready to hang. All work must be finished and completely dried.
Minimum entry fee is $40 for up to 3 entries. Additional entries are $10 each up to a maximum of 5 entries. Payment is due upon submission. Payment does NOT guarantee acceptance by the juror. Work will not be juried until all payments are made. Cash prizes will be awarded by the juror.
