STEM/STEAM Enrichment Instructor

Westchester Hebrew High School seeks a part-time, creative and enthusiastic instructor for a STEM/STEAM enrichment program for small groups of motivated high school students.  The instructor will be responsible for implementing project-based learning with students who will meet weekly to work on their projects.  The successful candidate will be able to conduct classes on one of the following areas:  media arts, film making, animation, graphic design, engineering, programming, robotics, or game/app design.

Education/Experience:  BA required; Some prior teaching experience preferred; graduate students may apply.

Neuberger Museum Volunteer Docent Program

Join a vibrant community of art lovers as a Neuberger Museum of Art volunteer docent! Be immersed in art history and educational philosophy, learn from Purchase College faculty and NMA staff, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the museum and its collection of over 7,000 works of contemporary, modern, Latin American, and African art. As the public face of the museum, NMA docents welcome and engage visitors by delivering in-depth, inquiry-based tours to our diverse audiences year-round.

The program requires a two-year commitment which includes one year of training and one year of touring. Training workshops take place every other Monday, September – May, from 10am – 2pm, and include curator talks, exhibition walkthroughs, presentations on pedagogy, and other content related to our artists and exhibitions.

Teaching Artist

The Picture House Regional Film Center is looking for dynamic teaching artists with a background in film to join our teaching staff. We offer a variety of film classes for ages Kindergarten through adult in all aspects of filmmaking, and hold classes at our spaces in Pelham, NY and throughout the public schools and clubs in Westchester.

The ideal candidate would have a background in film – cinematography, special effects, producing, acting, sound or editing – and would have previous experience teaching or working with kids. We are looking for teaching artists who are passionate about what they do, excited about sharing their skills, and are willing to collaborate to develop unique and interesting classes that center around film literacy, technique, current trends and fun. Looking especially for artists located in the Westchester area who are available to teach in area schools during the day. We are willing to train teaching artists familiar with film and theatre. 

We offer competitive hourly pay, paid preparation hours and paid round trip transportation if commuting from NYC. Pelham is the 2nd stop off the Metro North Hudson line and is a 28 minute ride from Grand Central.
