SPARC, Inc. – Music and Art Specialists Needed

SPARC, Inc. is a non-profit based in Yorktown Heights.  For 31 years SPARC has been providing meaningful life experiences to children, youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who reside in Westchester and the surrounding areas.  SPARC offers a diverse selection of arts, sports, and wellness programs for participants aged 5 to adulthood.  Different from other special needs support organizations, SPARC aligns people based on their abilities rather than disabilities and offers fun and engaging activities within a structured and nurturing environment.  Our programs continue to impact 1,500 participants through social, therapeutic and recreational services that create a sense of connection and inclusion.

We are looking for specialists in Music and Art to work with adults with developmental disabilities in group homes and day programs to provide an interactive therapeutic experience for our participants.  Ability and willingness to travel throughout Westchester and the Bronx (depending on location of program) is important.  Experience working with a special population is helpful but not necessary.  Passion and a desire to help people is key!
